A kashmiri boy born on April 20 th , 1985 in a Syed Family in Azad Jamu Kashmir, Asrar, who moved to Hyderabad, Sindh, along with his family in 1992 and then to Lahore in 2007. Asrar is a Pakistani singer- songwriter. He has always got inspiration from Sufi music.
While in Hyderabad, Asrar started getting training from Ustad Sultan Ahmed Khan in classical music and later on after moving to Lahore, he made his debut in the music industry of Pakistan with the title “Ni Saiyyo” in 2007. Then he shot to fame from his first song in the famous TV program Coke Studio in 2014 with the title “Sub Aakho Ali Ali”.
A very famous song “Afghan Jalebi” from the Bollywood movie Phantom was his debut in Bollywood in 2015. Asrar has also made his own music production company called Soul Speaks.
Since his childhood he used to write poetry while walking around in the valleys and seeing in the sky. He used to wonder why every tune is different from each other. But he got his satisfaction and answers to his questions from Ustad Sultan Ahmed Khan.
After coming to Lahore, he participated in and won “All Pakistan music conference” by standing first and then he started a music studio with his friends.
Asrar has become a sign of Sufi music but he also has do ne some commercial hits like “Afghan Jaleni, Shakar Wandaan Re, Fankaraan”.
Asrar also writes lyrics of other singers as well. Moreover, he keeps on throwing his back to back hits in the market.
